Ronan Doherty Racing is the Ray Race Cars FF1600 Series Champion!
The Ballymena man kept his composure to maintain his lead and take the Championship title at Philip Island Circuit, last night. 4 Wins and 5 further visits to the podium this season in such a tightly and fiercely competitive grid as it was is a testament to driver.
The Emerson Fittipaldi trophy winner lead home the outgoing RTA FF1600 Champion Jason Cooper in 2nd and 5 Time RTA Champion Jason Smyth in 3rd. Next of the Doherty/McClements Clan home is Sean McClements who pips the 2023 BRSCC National Formula Ford Champion Jordan Kelly to 4th.
Honourable mention to the youngest of the Dynasty, Dylan McClements, showing race craft and speed far beyond his years and brought it back to the yard in 11th of 50 drivers.
RTA B Series Title goes to Dmsim-Racing’s Damien McMullen. Dave Freeman kept him honest to take 2nd in the series to Gary Corcoran in 3rd.
