RTA Virtual Motorsport was founded in 2019 with the vision to create an inclusive and fun sim racing community and has since grown to become one of the biggest sim racing communities in Europe

Join our competitive sim-racing series on Tuesday nights from 8pm. Starting with Practice, Qualifying and 3 Races. Series run for 8 weeks and feature different cars and tracks on the iRacing platform.

Brian McManus

" I've had an interest in sim racing from a young age, I grew up with it. My passion for it became serious around 2015 when I joined my first league. I decided to teach myself how to drive properly and practice race craft, spending countless hours running laps over and over. For me, it was always about hard work over talent.

In 2018, I joined a group of Irish sim racers and formed lifelong friendships. We competed against some of the best in the world, a tradition that continues today in RTA.

In 2021, I joined RTA, which has been the number one series to compete in ever since. The series is professionally run and operated at a high level, but it's also a lot of fun. It's the highlight of my week."

" Sim racing for me grew from a want to learn tracks before heading to them for events, where circuit knowledge would bring me up to speed faster than lapping in a real car, which obviously costs considerably more and time is limited. Sim racing for me grew into racing in national and European series where the competition was fierce and the racing was as good as you will get.

RTA for me, racing the last 3yrs here, is the pinnacle of what a sim series can be. These guys bring the best of real life drivers together, series winners at a national and international level, with some of the best sim racers you will see. The racing is serious yet there is a fun aspect where everyone is included and can have a laugh. It's what keeps people coming back season after season and the grids filled. I've raced across numerous series but once I found RTA I stopped searching for more, get racing with RTA!"

Ronan Doherty

" I started sim racing in lockdown, out of boredom and it completely re-ignited my interest in motorsport. Shortly after I began to become interested in joining a league and competing against the best drivers in Ireland and abroad, where I found RTA. The blend of community and competition makes RTA the perfect league for me, I have made friends for life while also improving as a driver. I started racing in the real world in 2023, and contribute my race wins and poles to what I learned in RTA."

" I started Sim racing the same time as real racing when I was running myself in Vees, since then the RTA league has helped me gain speed and last year helped massively in winning the British Formula Ford Championship in my first year.

I Race in RTA because its honestly in my opinion the #1 league about, the competition is there all while have the best night's fun on the sim, the class of drivers have grown and grown over the years as I personally got to watch it grow as I was one of the very first member of the league, without a doubt the best community while also keeping the top class drivers and Championships."

Rory O'Shea

" I got into sim racing in 2019 after getting my first PC and I've never looked back. By driving on a sim daily, I was able to learn the fundamentals of racing which helped me hugely in the real world. I was offered the chance to drive a Junior X30 kart based on the skills I had shown in the sim. I've been racing karts ever since, which would have never happened without sim racing. Since then I've kept on sim racing for the fun of it and to improve my skills in the real world.

I joined RTA in 2022 and was immediately blown away by the balance that the organisers had struck between having a serious championship and having a fun championship. That atmosphere has made me come back every Tuesday to race against the best drivers in the country. "

Laurence Dusoswa

" I have been sim racing for over 25 years. A few years ago, I joined RTA. The standard of competition is higher than any league I have ever experienced. Any one of the top 10 drivers can win any given race. And any winner of an RTA race would be in contention for a top split win in any race. The margin for error is tiny so your outright pace means very little come race day, it’s all about performing consistently under pressure and getting the results every single week.

As a sim racing hardware reviewer, I need to get the most from my equipment. I feel that I cannot do that unless am competing regularly and enjoying the equipment the way it’s supposed to be used. Trying to squeeze every competitive advantage out of high end hardware while racing against this grid of drivers makes my reviews more credible and enjoyable. "
